“Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside of you that is greater than any obstacle.”

Like many people, I did not grow up living an active lifestyle, participating in sports, or working out. My fitness journey began in 2009 when I started following videos where I could workout at home. In 2012 my journey took off when I joined a commercial gym and started lifting weights. I fell in love with living the active and healthy lifestyle that I thought was for other people.

With lifting I found that I could shape my body to look the way that I wanted it to. Because I felt strong and confident, I decided that I wanted to be in the best shape of my life and maybe compete in a bodybuilding competition when I turned 40. When I started looking at competitions around that time, there was one on my 40th birthday! That “maybe” had become a certainty.

I spent 18 weeks, dieting, working out and pushing myself beyond my comfort zone when preparing to compete. During those weeks I learned what I was capable of when I set my heart and mind to it. My self-confidence grew and so did my desire to learn all that I could about fitness and nutrition to help inspire other women to become their best selves.

Since then, I have competed in four bodybuilding competitions and obtained my personal training certification. I am currently working on completing a certification for nutrition with Functional Nutrition Alliance. With this certification I will be able to help women transform their overall health. There is truth behind the sayings “Food is the best medicine” or “You are what you eat”. Food isn’t just fuel, it can better or worsen your health depending on what you eat.

As a mom, wife and now a grandmother, I know that life is busy, and it is hard to find time for yourself while balancing everything. In starting your journey, I hope to encourage you that making your health and fitness a priority that you will better yourself in all aspects of your life.

My goal is to help teach you sustainable habits, believing in yourself and creating lasting change and balance in your life. Working towards your goals should be rewarding! I want to give you a program that you will love, keep you feeling strong and satisfied so that you will stick to it!
